Little Friends Savoy Gerbilarium Cage

Welcome to our fifth gerbil cage review. This one is for cool gerbil cages.Cool gerbil cages

The Savoy cage is ideal for gerbils, but is also suitable for all types of hamsters and could be used as a holiday or sickness cage for rats, chinchillas or degus as well as other small sized pets. The cage comes with two shelves and two ladders forming a multi floor system (as shown in the picture).

All accessories shown are included (house, wheel and bowl). The gerbilarium is the perfect home to simulate your animal’s natural habitat. The deep base ensures there is plenty of space for burrowing, digging and hiding.

The base of this cage is made of glass, not like many other cages of this kind which are made of plastic. This ensures durability and it is perfect for rodents which have a tendency to chew.

The main features are:

  • The savoy cage is ideal for rats, gerbils, hamsters, chinchillas and other small sized pets

  • The cage comes with two shelves and two ladders forming a multi floor system

  • All accessories shown are included – house, wheel and bowl

  • The dimensions are: L 58.5cm W 38cm H 47.5cm

  • Deep glass base area to encourage natural digging behaviour

In conclusion:

The Little Friends Savoy Gerbilarium Cage is a great choice for people wanting a good size cage on a reasonable budget. It is a great cage for people who arent sure which pet to look after as it is suitable for most small animals. The cage is easily big enough for 2 gerbils.

The cage is very good value for money, although you will need to buy a water bottle and ideally we would recommend changing the wheel which is a little bit small.

We would rate the cage as 4.5 out of 5.0

  1. Hello

    Great article for hamster friends

My sister has a wonderful hamster which naturally is in a cage and she wants to find a new one as it has out grown it.

The gerbilarium you recommend is the ideal home to simulate their natural environment.

I was impressed by the glass base where you can see and have direct contact with the hamster.

The Two shelves and two stairs will help them move more and be active and fun.

Thank you very much for your article

  2. Hi, Skye.
Thanks for sharing the review on Gerbil Cages.
The design of cage looks awesome as it is the first thing we see in a house for the small animals/pets. As you suggested, the base of this cage will encourage small pets for natural digging, but I doubt how the digging will be possible in Glass base. Do we need to put some mud for this purpose?
    Warm Regards,
